How I test every tour on this site

The five criteria

1. Transport logistics

I check where the day begins, what transport the listing describes, and whether the meeting point changes the practical choice. A central meeting point, hotel pickup, and a boat departure each create a different planning job.

2. Timing and crowd reality

I look at the order of stops and any timing dependency in the listing. When a market visit or train sighting depends on a schedule, the guide says so instead of presenting the route as fixed.

3. Value for the itinerary

I compare what the product includes with the kind of day it promises. A private vehicle, a boat segment, a meal, or entry fees can change the fit, but an inclusion is useful only when it matches what you want to do.

4. Guide quality

I look for signs that the product explains what the guide does and how the day is organized. A clear itinerary helps you judge the experience before you commit.

5. Honesty of the listing

I read the boundaries as carefully as the highlights. If the day has a long transfer, a fixed meeting point, an optional activity, or a stop that can change, the recommendation keeps that limitation visible.
